Bridge carries over 51,000 vehicles per day
The Horner & Shifrin – Parsons team was recently selected by the Illinois Department of Transportation to design the I-270 (Chain of Rocks) Bridge Replacement over the Mississippi River, connecting Illinois and Missouri in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
“Horner & Shifrin is proud to continue our partnership with Parsons and IDOT by leading a project of such high priority within our region,” said Steve Donahue, Horner & Shifrin President. “The St. Louis Regional Freightway has identified this project as one of the highest priority projects on their 2017 Multimodal Transportation List.”
“We’re honored to build upon our Phase I study of the project by bringing this replacement bridge to fruition in partnership with Horner & Shifrin,” said Mike Johnson, Parsons Group President. “This project will facilitate increased capacity for this vital link between the two states.”
