Overview
Horner & Shifrin provided a custom ASP.NET invoicing system application incorporated with current City of Marion, IL data already hosted on Horner & Shifrin’s web-based GIS application. The web-based application extends GIS beyond the desktop for the Code Enforcement staff with the flexibility to use a tablet or phone in the field to view and edit asset data, documents, and photos. H&S modified the City’s previous workflow using this technology that decreased code violations from 15 minutes to 2 minutes per violation. This application allowed for better tracking of violations, payment of the violations, and increased the volume of violations completed on a daily basis, which doubled the City’s annual revenue within the first year.
