Drones for Earthwork Verification

Horner & Shifrin began using Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) for various applications when new FAA pilot certifications were established. We quickly determined a higher ROI for the platform when compared to traditional manual field surveying for various applications, including surveying, asset collection, construction administration, and 3D modeling. A recent request to conduct earthwork verification for a 60+ acre development provided Horner & Shifrin an excellent opportunity to utilize our drone platform; measuring the elevations of the earthwork using traditional methods would have been a very expensive and time-consuming process.
